Dolans is a proudly Australian, family owned company that started from humble beginnings back in 1978. It all began in the garage of the Dolan family home, where Ross Dolan started handcrafting saddles with a passion for quality and detail. As the business grew, it moved into its own workshop and kept expanding. Ross’s eldest son, Clint, later joined the business to work alongside him.

For over 45 years, Dolans has built a reputation for exceptional workmanship and service, producing authentic, Australian Made stock saddles, saddlery, gear bags, and leather belts. The company proudly manufactures under its own two brands, Dolans and Boss Cocky, while also producing belts and accessories for private labels and some of Australia’s biggest corporate names.

Dolans is now one of Australia's largest manufacturers of Australian Made leather belts and gear bags. With state of the art machinery, highly skilled craftspeople, and a commitment to using only the highest quality materials and components, Dolans is dedicated to delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality and durability.

Boss Cocky
In 1990, Dolans expanded beyond saddlery into high quality, Australian Made leather belts, marking the birth of the Boss Cocky brand. Originally focused solely on belts, Boss Cocky has since evolved to include wallets, canvas bags, and other accessories. Today, Boss Cocky belts are recognized across Australia for their superior craftsmanship, helping position Dolans as one of the country’s largest leather belt manufacturers.

Rooted in premium, handcrafted saddles, bridles, reins, and saddlery goods, the Dolans brand later introduced durable PVC tarpaulin gear bags, now among the company’s best selling products. The original red and blue design has grown into a broad range of sizes and colorways, all reflecting the same commitment to quality and utility.
